A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart.
Have I told y’all how excited I am to be a teacher??? 😁 Like, I am super ecstatic! ….to have my own classroom and get to decorate it, to meet new little kids and fall in love with
most of them (it was a joke), and to get to help them learn and feel like they have someone who cares for them! The quote I put at the top is my favorite teacher quote. I’m sure some of you have seen it before. It describes exactly how I want to be as a teacher. That is my ultimate goal in teaching: to build & maintain relationships with my kiddos so they are able to trust in and learn from me! 💕
I just found this cute little thing that I would love for my classroom! It has the quote I just put, but it has an added part. I LOVE IT!!! LOOK! (affiliate link, but I don’t expect you to buy, just showing because it is super cute!)
Just thinking about how amazing it will be to have a career that I will love to do and will make me feel accomplished makes me super happy! This is a passion of mine and I’m so excited to share it with my students. 😎
Right now I am taking my methods courses and some practicum courses to prepare me for student teaching. I start student teaching (or “Clinical Residency” as they call it at my university) August of next year! I know the time is going to fly by, and I AM SO READY!!!
Instead of student teaching for one semester, like most universities do, I will be teaching for the full school year (August to May). I’m relieved to be doing it for a full year because I feel like it will help me learn a lot and feel like I’ve already made it through my first year teaching even though teeeeeechnically not.
I’m just now starting to get into the important classes, so I’m getting a little more nervous since I’m getting closer to the Clinical Residency… 😅
I’m overwhelmed with having to have my Praxis tests passed by March 1st and overloading my brain with things I need for my classroom and things to do and UGHHHHHH. It’s a lot. But I’ll make it!!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
